Samuel Church Austin was born on 4 Sep 1838 in Nunda Livingston New York. He married three times. First marriage was to Polly Bowen on 9 Mar 1862 in Lenawee,Michigan.^[1] She died in 1878. He then married Julia Rankin on 12 Apr 1884 in Dundee, Monroe, Michigan.^[2] After she died in Feb 1890, he married Hester Burn Wallace on 11 Sep 1890 in Castleton, Barry, Michigan.^[3]
