Hannah was born in Congleton, Cheshire, England, in 1863.[1] Her birth was registered in the first quarter. She was the daughter of Thomas Austin and Mary Ann Hill. She was enumerated in the 1871 census [2] as an eight year old residing with her family in Congleton.
