I cannot enter my father. Reason given; Error: Invalid data. The following must be corrected:

This person has data indicating they are both living (Active WikiTree User) and not living (Death Date 2004-01-15, Death Date 'non-living', Death Place Fort Worth, Tarrant, Texas, United States).

We share the same first and last names only. I have entered all info correctly. I do not know what else to do.

This has happened to me and a few other members, did you add an email address when trying to create his profile ? , or you might be entering the death date incorrectly and be sure you have checked the not living box. This link may help you Date Fields

Karen, Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I entered an email, I assume they meant mine. This is the date of his death as I entered it, 15 Jan 2004. I have looked and looked, there is no box to check marked 'not living'.

You are welcome, if an email address has been added and a death date it confuses the poor system, and it has a mini melt-down and will not accept it 😊, the not living is part of the box where you check "about/uncertain but not living" so my apologies for not giving the full title 😭 the date of death is fine, so you should be ok with creating him now
