Benjamin Austin was born on January 11, 1740/1741, in Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts, the son of Benjamin and Mary Austin.[1][2]
Benjamin Austin did not leave a will and his estate entered probate 18 October 1793 with Daniel Emerson of Hollis as administrator. Land with buildings was valued at £50 and personal estate at £25.5.6. Allowance of $40 was made to the widow. The settlement of the estate was made 31 October 1797 with real estate to be distributed of 23 acres. The estate was not suitable for division and was settled on only son Benjamin Austin with Benjamin to make payments to the other heirs: Betty Austin and Polly Austin.[3]
