Earl Wayne Austin, son of Benjamin Austin, was born on 25 Oct. 1885 in Truxton, Cortland County, New York, USA.^[1][2][3]

He married Maria Humphrey.^[2][4]

He was a gauge inspector for the American Can Company in Ontario County, New York when he registered for the draft in 1918.^[2] He was a day laborer when he and Maria appeared on the census of 12 Jan. 1920 at Phelps, Ontario County, New York. His father was living with them.^[3]

Earl died on 4 Jan. 1952.^[1]
