Biography

Robert AYERS was born in 1798, [1] [2] [3] probably in Hanover Township, Morris County, New Jersey, where his father Jackson AYERS can be found in the tax lists.

In 1821, he married Mary TAYLOR. [4] Together they had six children:

  1. Hannah AYERS
  2. Alonzo AYERS
  3. Clementine AYERS
  4. Mary AYERS
  5. Rebecca AYERS
  6. Caroline AYERS

Robert's occupation was listed as "cooper" in the 1850, [1] 1860, [2] and 1870 [3] U.S. Censuses.

He passed away in 1874 and was buried in the IOOF Cemetery. [5]
