In the Ayer Genealogy which was published in The Essex Antiquarian in 1899, it was stated that she was "probably" the Elizabeth Ayer who married Abraham Belknap on January 14, 1690-1[2] in Haverhill.[5] The same source says they lived in Haverhill and Framingham.[2]
Although the Ayer Genealogy and History of Framingham say she died in 1730, in Framingham, Massachusetts,[2][6] her death was not recorded in the town's vital records. It is certain that she died after May 1, 1728, the day she was mentioned by her husband in his will.[7]
Research Notes
Her name appears as "Ayres" in Temple's History of Framingham, but ostensibly not anywhere else. Her name was recorded as Ayer in the Haverhill vital records. McCann-752 21:42, 14 March 2024 (UTC)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elizabeth:
Town and City Clerks of Massachusetts. Massachusetts Vital and Town Records for Haverhill p 17 birth record indicated her maiden name is Ayer not Ayers.
