Eliza (Ayers) Guy was born about 15 Nov 1818 in Reading, Berkshire, England, United Kingdom.
Eliza married James Wilcox (~1818 - ~1876) on 12 Aug 1841 in Windsor, Berkshire.
Eliza married Antonio Guy (1823 - 1884) on 17 Jan 1877 in Millers Point, New South Wales, Australia. Their daughter was Elizabeth (Guy) Smith (1860 - 1914).
Eliza died on 17 Dec 1888 in Manly, New South Wales, Australia aged 70.[1]
Research Notes
There is no marriage record on NSW BDM for a marriage for an Antonio Guy. There is a marriage record for James Guy to Eliza O'Connor in Sydney in 1861[2] which would make more sense in relation to the birth of their daughter in 1860.
The only marriage of an Eliza to an O'Connor on NSW BDM is Eliza Berrigarry to William O'Connor in 1852. [3]
The only marriage of an Eliza Wilcox on NSW BDM is a marriage to James Trent in 1875.[4]
So could Eliza have married, or changed her name, after her marriage to James Wilcox in England?
