Biography

Harris was the son of Joseph Babcock and Ann Harris.[1] He married Sally Newell. Their children were:

1. Henry "Harry" Babcock 1792 - 1873
2. Charles Babcock 1794–1872
3. Sarah "Sally" Babcock Dorrell 1796 - 1868
4. George W. Babcock 1798–1863
5. Nancy Newell Babcock 1802–1879
6. Thomas Jefferson Babcock 1804 - 1892
7. John Welsey Babcock 1838 - 1914
8. Mary Aurelia Babcock 1813–1815

Harris passed away in 1842 and is buried in Maplehurst Cemetery, Guilford, Windham County, Vermont. [2]
