Her name on marriage record and 1850 Census was Isabella Baggett. Isabella is Spanish for Elizabeth. If she was still alive in 1850, she couldn't have passed away in 1842. There is a Baggett child listed in the Census record, so either this isn't the correct match, or she had a previous marriage. In addition her place of birth in the 1850 Census is listed as 'South Carolina,' and date would have been about 1805. Also familysearch.org lists him as having a wife named isabella with no last name and Elizabeth Baggett. There is no proof of death. Another option would be that there were really two wives who were related somehow to each other.
