Penelopy, born ca. 1792, married 7 Jan 1812 James Collins in the house of her father, Joel Baggett (according to record in Morgan County, GA marriage and will book 1808-1818, pg 92).
Penelope BAGGETT COLLINS made application for a bounty land warrant for her husband's service in the War of 1812. There are several letters attesting to who Penelope is and her rights to the bounty land warrant. One attestor indicates that the marriage between James and Penelope took place at her father's house, Joel BAGGET, about the 15 Oct 1811.
Penelope married James W. Collins, son of Adam Collins and Sarah Marcroft, on January 7, 1812 in Morgan County, Georgia.
The only COLLINS listed on the 1830 Bibb County, Alabama index is Penelope. 1 Male 5-10, 2 Male 10-15, 1 Male 15-20, One Female 0-5, One Female 40-50[1]

One source says "Two brothers, Isaac & James Collins, were born in the 1780s in Georgia. They married two sisters, Penelope & Jemima Baggett. " [3]
