Samuel Bagley of Williamsburg marched in Abel Thayer's co. to the siege of Boston on April 21 1775. His service there is listed as 7 days plus 3 months 11 days, but he must have served at least 8 months that year as he received a bounty coat for his service.

Samuel received a pension for service as a private with the Green Mountain Boys. This same service is listed in the Massachusetts soldiers and sailors list as acting a a private under Capt. Kellogg's co., Col. Ruggles Woodbridge's regt. August 17 - 19.

Samuel also served Sept 20 to Oct. 14 1777. This would mean his service ended in Saratoga 3 days before the battle there.

Samuel is buried in the Brookfield, Vermont cemetery; he was 88 years old at the time of his death.[2]

May I have permission to add Samuel Bagley's Revolutionary War service and sticker?

Of course. I have a note about it in the biography but no dates or details. Let me know if I need to do anything with site permissions.

Thanks, Andy
