DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with John by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:
We still have the long-standing problem of their daughter Elizabeth (born 1694, Haddam). Did she marry Joseph Plumbe in 1709 (at age 15) or did she marry John Taylor in 1712 (at age 18).
I believe that it was to John Taylor, especially since he died at Haddam (her birthplace).
I can find no evidence that Joseph Plumbe of Milford had any connection with these Baileys, or that Joseph Plumbe ever went anywhere near Haddam.
I'm sure that one of these profiles is incorrect, but how can you just say flatly that they are not the same person? They have the same name, and died in the same town on the same day and you think they are different people? I think that one of them either did not exist, or has taken information from the other. Wouldn't it be better to consolidate the two profiles into a single correct profile and remove the inaccurate information? How is it better to leave these profiles separate?
Bailey-971 and Bailey-278 appear to represent the same person because: Same date and place of birth and death. Same spouse name. Same mother name. Father name is different. Please verify and consider merging.
Bailey-1119 and Bailey-1907 appear to represent the same person because: same individuals - same mother - same father; with Bailey-1119 providing full details
