Birth and Early Life

Charity Bailey was born on 7 August 1781 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusette, United States as the seventh of eight children to John Bailey (1741-1826) and Charity Dodge (1745-1812).[1]

  2. Thomas Bailey born 7 April 1771 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts. He died on 1 December 1804 in Newbury, Essex, Massachusetts, United States.
  3. Anna Bailey born 10 January 1773 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts.
  4. Mary Bailey born 30 October 1774 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts. She died on 18 October 1775 in Rowley Essex, Massachusetts.
  5. John Bailey, Jr. born 17 January 1777 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts, United States. He died on 2 September 1778 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts, United States.

Charity Bailey married Israel Adams, Jr. (1780-1865) on 30 July 1800 in Rowley, Essex, Massachusetts, United States.[2] [3]

Children of the Adams-Bailey Marriage

All children (except the oldest, born in Rowley, MA) were born in Henniker, Merrimack, New Hampshire, United States. [4]
  1. Charity Adams was born on 9 February 1801. She married 1) Seth Franklin Currier on 5 February 1829 in New Hampshire, United States and 2) John Palfrey. Charity died on 11 June 1853 in Nashua, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States.
  2. Israel Adams, III was born on 4 December 1802. He married 1) Sally Cross (1806-1832) and 2) Lois Lillie (1791-1880). Israel died in about 1870 probably in New York, United States.
  3. Elizabeth Adams was born on 17 August 1804. She married Deacon Timothy Morse (1795-1847) on 28 December 1825. Elizabeth died on 5 June 1877 in Lowell, Middlesex, Massachusetts, United States.
  4. Thomas Bailey Adams was born on 27 May 1806. He married Mary Ann Perry, aka Pressey variation, on 2 April 1835. Thomas died on 30 June 1890 in Hillsborough, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, United States. [5]
  5. George W. Adams was born on 4 December 1807. He died on the same day in Henniker, New Hampshire. His mother died in the following January, about 2 months later.

Death and Burial

Charity died on 23 January 1808 in Henniker, Merrimack, New Hampshire, USA. [6]She was buried in New Hampshire.[7]
