George was born about 1827 at St Andrews, Edinburgh, Scotland.[1][2][3] He married Agnes Hastie in 1850 at Saint Cuthberts, Edinburgh, Midlothian.[4]
George Bain migrated from Scotland to New South Wales.
In February 1855, George, Agnes and their two sons David and John immigrated to the Colony of New South Wales, Australia aboard the Nabob.[1]
George passed away in 1883, and was buried in Rookwood Presbyterian Cemetery.[3][5][6]
