Isobel Bain, daughter of John Bain and Isobel "Waiter", was baptised in Watten, Caithness, on 8 November 1818.[1]
Isabella was named as the mother of George Shearer on the latter's 1844 birth record.[2]
In 1851 Isabella was living with her parents at their home at Backless in Watten. Isabella's husband Sinclair was not living with them.
