Biography

Cornelius was born in about 1822 in Russell, Virginia, United States. He was the son of Richard Baker and Abigail (Beverly) Baker.[1]

In the 1850 census Cornelius (age about 28) was living in District 54, Russell, Virginia. Age: 24[2]

In the 1860 census Cornelius (age about 38) was living in Wise, Virginia, United States. Age: 31[3]

Military Service: 1864.[4]

In the 1870 census Cornelius (age about 48) was living in Toms Creek, Johnson, Kentucky, United States. Age: 46Census Post Office: Paintsville[5]

In the 1880 census Cornelius (age about 58) was living in Upper Elkhorn Creek, Pike, Kentucky, United States. Age: 52Marital Status: Married; Relation to Head of House: Self[6]

In June 1890 Cornelius (age about 68) was living in Clintwood, Dickenson, Virginia, United States.[4][7]

Cornelius died at the age of about 72 on 7 November 1894 in Dickenson County, Virginia, USA. Age: 72[1]
