At Swansea, Bristol, Province of Massachusetts Bay, on February 13, 1683/84, Zachariah Eddy married his first wife, Mercy Baker.[1][2][3]
Zachariah and Mercy (Baker) Eddy had five children, all born in Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts.
Alice Eddy - Born 28 November 1684. Died 24 September 1692.
Eleanor Eddy - Born 16 May 1686. Probably died young.
Jemima Eddy - Born 5 August 1688. Married to Stephen Harding on 21 April 1707. Removed to New London, Connecticut.
Zachariah Eddy - Born 13 September 1691.
Alice Eddy - Born 5 January 1694. Married on 21 May 1713, to Obadiah Jencks, four children. She died several years after 1759.
In 1703, he sold land to Thomas Lewis. Mercy, Eddy's wife, signed the deed on October 11, 1703. The next deed signed does not include his wife's signature or mark. It was written on May 1, 1707. Mercy Eddy died at some point between 1703 and 1707 in Swansea.[4] It seems that in the spring of 1707, Eddy relocated to Providence, Rhode Island.

Please take note that Mercy Baker is referenced twice in this work on these pages, where she is referred to only as Mercy Baker "of Swansea" with the reference "V.R. and also East Bridgewater V.R." It is unclear if the first reference is to Middleboro where the book states the marriage occurred. This source also gives, with notations, the children as Alice, Eleanor, Jemima, Zachariah, and a second Alice.

A Mercy Baker, daughter of Samuel Baker and Eleanor Winslow, was born on October 2, 1664, in Marshfield, Massachusetts.[5]
NEHGR 142:122gives a Mercy Baker as the granddaughter of Rev. Nicholas Baker of Hull and Scituate (and, in my inference, the daughter of the eldest son, Samuel Baker, who married Fear Robinson).
