Biography

Ada's husband, William Pickney Sparkman, died in 1864 as a Confederate Civil War prisoner in Elmira, New York. Ada was 30 at the time with five small children to care for.

Ada was the daughter of Joseph & Ada Baker, and wife of W.P. Sparkman.
