Biography

John Hollis "Jack" Baker was the second of eleven children born to James Early Baker and Etta Lucinda Baker. He was born in Lisbon, Louisiana on September 25, 1881.[1]

Jack married Mary Eula Jones in about 1907. The 1910 US Census shows them living in Orange, Texas.[2]

In 1920 they lived in Scooba, Kemper County, Mississippi and he was a saw filer.[3]

In 1930 they resided in D'Lo, Simpson County, Mississippi.[4]

Jack and Eula were married for about 28 years, until her death in 1935. They had seven children together.

He died in about 1957. Actual date is unknown. he was about 77 years old. Jack is buried in DLo Cemetery in D'Lo, Mississippi.[5]
