Frederic Warren Kidder Baker (4 Jun 1872 Amesbury, Essex, Mass - 6 Jan 1941 Concord, Merrimack, N.H).

Frederic Baker's ancestors originally came from Sissinghurst, Kent, England. During the great migration his forefather Thomas Baker was a founding member of the Roxbury Colony in the early 1600's. In the late 1700's during an ill fated Navel campaign against the British his great grandfather and ship's surgeon, Lemuel Baker, left Roxbury and was shipwrecked in Steuben, Washington, Maine where the family remained and where his father John H Baker was born. His pedigree is Frederic Warren Kidder Baker 8, John H Baker 7 (1822 – 1873), Eli Forbes Baker 6 (1790 – 1855), Lemuel Baker 5 (1742 –), Capt John Baker 4 (1705 – 1781), Thomas Baker 3 (1676 – 1761), John Baker 2 (1644 – 1732), Thomas Baker 1 (1608 – 1683). His lineage traces to Sir John Baker (1488 – 1558), Member of Parliament and Exchequer of England of Sissinghurst, Kent, England according to noted genealogist and expert on the Roxbury Colony Bakers, Guy Elis Baker of New York.

Frederic was a pharmacist. He married Ada Foss a singer and daughter of author James Foss. Ada and her twin sister Ida performed as "Ida and Ada the Heavenly Twins" and were very popular around the turn of he century. Ada and Ida's mother died shortly after child birth. They were raised by their loving step-mother Lillian along with their sister Mary and half sister Elizabeth. Lillian and their father took their musical lessons seriously and the four girls originally performed together as they traveled the country on adventure - the source for James Foss's books. Frederic middle name "Kidder" was his paternal mother's surname as noted on his application to the sons' of the American Revolution.

His father was John H Baker a blacksmith in Steuben (23 May 1822 Steuben, Washington, Maine - 1 May 1873 Amesbury, Mass) son of Eli Forbes Baker (26 Jan 1790 Roxbury, Essex, Mass - 28 Sep 1855 Steuben, Washington, Maine) and Rebecca Downs (born 4 Mar 1795 Steuben, Washington, Maine).

His mother was Angeline Lovina "Angie" Kidder (3 May 1839 Georges Mills, Sullivan, N.H. - 28 Oct 1929 Andover, Essex, Mass) daughter of Thomas Kidder (26 Oct 1803 Sunapee, Sullivan, N.H. - 1868 New London, Merrimack, N.H.) and Ruth Mudgett (4 Dec 1801 Sunapee, Sullivan, N.H. - 1879 Sunapee, Sullivan, N.H.).

On 20 Dec 1896 in Boston, Suffolk, Mass he married Ada Foss (born 27 Sep 1876 Rowley, Essex, Mass died probably in Concord, Merrimack, N.H.) daughter of James Henry Foss (25 Jul 1841 Charleston, Penobscot, Maine - 1916) and Mary Hardy Burnham (11 Sep 1846 Gloucester, Essex, Mass - 16 Oct 1876 Rowley, Essex, Mass).
