Biography

Mary Baker is the daughter of Captain Thomas Baker and Christine (Otis) Baker.

In 1753, in Bow, New Hampshire, Mary married Captain Benjamin Bean, Jr. son of Benjamin Bean and Mehitable (Mayo) Bean.

Children of Mary and Benjamin are:

  • Ebenezer Bean, born September 5, 1755, in Epping, New Hampshire, married Catherine Kilgore;
  • Benjamin Bean, III, born July 27, 1757, married Susan Carr;
  • Mary "Polly" Bean, born May, 1759, died April 29, 1849, unmarried;
  • Mehitable Bean, born 1761, married Hubbard Colby;
  • Douglas Bean born May, 1764, married Betsey Foster
