Biography

Art Baker was born in Sedro-Woolley, Washington, on February 17, 1910. He was the son of Arthur Franklin Baker Sr. and Edna Angelina Reed. He passed away June 5, 2005, in Ashland, Oregon.

In the 1920s, Art's family moved from Washington to California and settled in Fontana. When Art was 20, he stayed at the YMCA in Oakland and worked in a restaurant as a dishwasher.[1]
