Biography
George Washington Baker was born in 1762, in Shenandoah, Virginia, the son of Captain John Baker and Elizabeth Ann (Sullivan) Baker. George married Sarah Beam, who was born 1766 in Maryland and died in 1850. George and Sarah migrated west to Monroe county, Ohio and made their home on Little Grave Creek, where he was a woodsman and a farmer. George died in 1845, in Graysville, Marshall County, (W)VA
