"Her (Eleanor Jane Wood's) parents were both from Virginia. Her father (Elisha Wood, son of David) was from Albemarle, and Mother (Susan Ann Baker, dau of perhaps William) from Hanover counties. Both came to Missouri in early childhood, and were reared, married and lived, for many years in Saline County. . . . (per Rev. Sam, Samuel McDaniel, my mom's grandpa, in his life/family story - bcs)

Betsy, I hope I am of some help to you in your quest. I wish I had more! Elisha Wood born 2 Jul 1824, died 10 Aug 1881. Married to Susan Ann Baker 5 Sep 1844. Parents were David Wood and mother Lucy (no maiden name) Susan Ann was born 3 Feb 1826, died 25 Sep 1892. I do have some information about their 12 children.
