Page 400.—In the name of God, Amen. I, Thomas Baker, of East Hampton, in Suffolk County, being in good health. I leave to my wife Elizabeth, 1/3 of all personal estate, except £'20. I leave to my daughter Mercy, £20, when she is 18 years of age. To my son Daniel, £14. To my son Micah,. £30. To my son Samuel, £5. To my son Jeremiah, £20. To my son John, £20. I leave to my son, Nathaniel Baker, all the rest of my estate, and make him executor.

Sept. 8, 1735, married at least twice . . . his last wife, Elizabeth, who survived him, was Elizabeth Westover, dau. of Jonas Westover of Killingworth and Simsbury, Conn., b. May 3, 1670. Local records say that Elizabeth Baker d. July 18, 1753 in her 84th year. He is on record in Southampton, as marrying on April 24, 1686, Ann, dau. of Thomas Topping. Ch: Thomas 3, b. 1690 at E.H., rem. to N.J.; Elizabeth 3 who d. 1706 ae 10; Nathaniel 3 (who inherited his father's property), bapt. Dec. 24, 1699, d. 1772; Micah 3 bapt.
