Biography

Mary Baker was born about 1808, and was from Clifton, Gloucestershire (see Census records).

Mary Baker, spinster of St John Bedminster, married Thomas Chard, bachelor of St John Bedminster, on 29 Jan 1826 at St John Bedminster, Somerset.[1]

In 1841 Mary Chard was resident at Cottage Court, Clifton, Bristol, age 30. Her place of birth was the City & County of Bristol.[2]

In 1851 Mary Chard age 43, widow, was resident at Hamlin's? Cottages (adjacent to White Hart Lane), Clifton. She was a Laundress and place of birth was Clifton, Bristol.[5]

The death of Mary Chard age 45 was registered in Q1 1852 in the District of Clifton.[9] Mary Chard age 45, widow of Thomas Chard, Shipwright, died at White Hart Lane, Clifton, on 19 Feb 1852. Present at the death was Mary Ann Chard.[10]
