Olive was born on 12 March 1854 in New London, Henry, Iowa, United States. She was the daughter of Alexander Mcguire Baker and Nancy Elizabeth Minor.

When Olive was about 41 she married Harry Richardson in about 1896 in Iowa.

Olive died at the age of 67 on 7 May 1921 in Oskaloosa, Mahaska, Iowa, United States.
