Biography

Ellen F Baker was enumerated as daughter at Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas for the June 8, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as born 1875 in Texas and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self Thomas G Baker, wife Malverda J Baker, son Anderson Y Baker, son Thomas H Baker, son Joseph E Baker and mother Frances P Baker.[1]

Ellen Prather was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Justice Precinct 1, Batesville, Zavala County, Texas for the June 8, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born August 1874 in Texas and had been married eight years. She was the mother of five children of which all were still living as seen in an image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Hamilton Prather, son Ned Prather, daughter Alma Prather, son Meryl Prather, son Howard Prather and son Bluford Prather.[2]

Ellen Prother was enumerated as wife of the head of household at North Main Street, Justice Precinct 1, Midland County, Texas for the April 25, United States Census, 1910. She was noted as born 1875 in Texas and married. She is noted as the mother of nine children of which all are still living as seen in the image of the original census. Also included in the household are head Hampton Prother, son Ned Prother, daughter Alva Prother, son Merle Prother, son Howard Prother, son Bluford Prother, daughter Ora Prother, son Clyde Prother, son Harold Prother and daughter Louise Prother.[3]

Ellen Baker was listed as the mother of John David Prather who died August 8, 1911 in Uvalde, Uvalde County, Texas. The father was listed as Hamilton Prather.[4]

Ellen Baker was listed as the mother of Ora Prather who died December 25, 1915 in Uvalde County, Texas. The father was listed as Hamilton Prather.[5]

Frances Ellen Baker was listed as the mother of Anderson B Prather who died February 11, 1945 in Luzon [Philippines]. The father was listed as John H Prather.[6]
