Biography

Amanda E. Baker, the daughter of James M. Baker and Louisa Jane Mitchell, was born in December 1867, according to the 1900 census[1], although according to the 1870 census "Manda" was one year old.[2]

In 1880, Amanda E. Baker was 11 and living with her parents.[3]

On 17 April 1885 Amanda Baker married F. M. Norman in Stone County, Arkansas.[4]

In 1900 Mandy Norman 32 was living with her husband Frank Norman 33 and their 6 children. She had given birth to one additional child who was no longer living.[5]

In 1910 Francis M. Norman 43 was living with his wife Lura J. Norman 28 (married -0- years), three of his children (Floyd, Alice and Pat) and five of hers. It is presumed that Amanda had died between 1907 when their son Richard was born and before 1910 when he married Lura.[6]
