Biography

Sylvester Baldwin, son of John Baldwin and Rebecca Palmer, was born March 4, 1677[1][2][3]

He married 1st, Lydia Miner, in 1706, who died 2 days after birth of their first child in April 1707:

  1. John Baldwin, born and died April 18, 1707

He married 2nd, Elizabeth Avery, 1724, and they had 2 children:

  1. Elizabeth Comfort Baldwin, b. July 6, 1725, m. Capt. Thomas Prentice, Feb 1, 1744
  2. Mary Baldwin, b. Sept. 14, 1726, m. Humphrey Avery of Preston, June 19 1745

Sylvester Baldwin died in 1732 at Stonington, Connecticut, leaving a large estate.
