"Jack" John Thomas Lafayette Baldwin is in a book called " To honor these Men". It is a book about the Phillips Georgia Legion in the Civil War. It gives detailed accounts of their experiences. His brother, James Knox Baldwin fought in the Civil war also. They were in Company D, the Polk Rifles.

Wapasha-25 and Wapasha-3 appear to represent the same person because: These two profiles clearly represent the same man; the narratives are near-identical. Please retain data and text from Wapasha-3. Thank you.

My father, Jimmy Baldwin, worked really really hard in the 70's and 80's on our Family Tree. One thing he did was interview his aunts and uncles. One that he interviewed was my great uncle Foster Baldwin. Foster was the son of John Edward Baldwin and the Grandson of John Thomas Lafayette Baldwin. Foster told my Dad that the Baldwins lived in the large house on the corner of Grady Rd. and Knight Rd. in Polk County Georgia. We spoke with current homeowners and " Baldwin" is carved on the bricks inside the well and also " Baldwin" is on the concrete.
