Biography

Esther was the second of eleven children born to Herbert and Nettie Potter Baldwin.^[1] She grew up in Dilworth, Minnesota.^[2] She married Howard Bacon when she was 26 years old.^[3] Her parents, who had been living in Pelican Rapids, Minnesota in 1935, moved into the house next door to Ethel and Howard in Moorhead by 1940.^[4]

She lived most of her adult life in Moorhead, and at least five of her children were born there. She is the mother of Howard Thomas, born in 1939,^[5] Donald Frank, born in 1940,^[6] Vida Esther, born in 1944^[7], Louise Anne, born in 1946.^[8] and Daniel Herbert Bacon born in 1956.^[9]

She died at age 86 in Moorhead,^[10] and is buried in Riverside Cemetery.^[11]
