George Rowland (Dight) Baldwin was born on 13 Sep 1837 in Singleton, New South Wales, Australia[1], the son of George Dight and Alice (Clark) Baldwin and the brother of Henry Baldwin [half], Edwin Charles Baldwin [half], Alice Jane (Baldwin) Baker [half], William Baldwin [half], John Harborne [half], Elizabeth Baldwin and Ann (Harborne) Pearce [half].
George Rowland was born while Edwin Baldwin was serving a sentence at Norfolk Island. He later gave George Rowland his name. [2]
George's natural father, George Dight, married Elizabeth Ann Howe in 1841 and lived in the area of Maitland, and died on 28 February 1851 in Richmond, New South Wales, Australia.
George died, aged 19 years, on 27 May 1856 in Bulga, New South Wales, Australia [3] and was buried in the Warkworth Anglican Cemetery, Warkworth, New South Wales, Australia[4].
