Biography

Sarah was born in 1873 [1] and died as an infant. She is the daughter of George Baldwin and Isabella Draper. [2]

Between 1872 and 1876 mother Isabella and her eldest children Emily, James, Sarah are recorded as living at Caerau in the county of Glamorgan in Wales and on the list of paupers maintained by the local workhouse. [3]

Sarah passed away in 1874 aged 11 months.

Research notes

  • In the freereg.org.uk burial transcription the family's abode is specified as "Union" and the parish is St John. This could indicate that the Baldwin family were residing in the Cardiff Union Workhouse.
