Biography

John Edward Baldwin was born on 03/29/1866 in Polk County Georgia to John Thomas Lafayette Baldwin and Adeline Eliza Atkins. He was the 4th child born to John Thomas Lafayette Baldwin and Adeline Eliza Atkins. He lived in Haralson County Georgia and Polk County Georgia. He married Georgia Nora Green on 11/19/1883. They had 10 children. John Edward purchased the Monroe Mill on the Tallapoosa River in Buchanan Georgia. It was a corn mill and the ruins can still be seen from Monroe Mill rd. John Edward Baldwin was a farmer also. His wife Georgia died in 1914 and he remarried and had 2 more children. He died 12/20/1942 in Polk County Georgia and is buried at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Buchanan Georgia.
