Biography

Sylvester Baldwin I (5th GGF) was born on 29 Mar 1719 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut Colony, son of Deacon Theophilus Baldwin (1683-1736) (6th GGF) and Priscilla Mason, his mother died soon after his birth.

He became the spouse of Anna Satterlee (1718-1754), she died childless.

He remarried Bridget Chesebrough (1737-1818) on 22 Oct 1759 in Stonington, New London, Connecticut Colony.

Their son is Capt. Sylvester Baldwin II (1761-1795) (4th GGF).
