Will

WILL OF GEORGE BALDWIN, 1817: WB 8 pages 368-369, Amelia County, VA: In the name of God Amen I GEORGE BALDWIN of Amelia County being in good health and memory do make this my last will and Testament as follows
I give to my son JOSEPH BALDWIN one bay mare called Tarter and one Feather bed and furniture--
I give to my daughter NANCY BALDWIN one Feather bed and furniture one loom with the slays and Harnesses.
The remainder of my Estate both real and personal I lend my beloved wife RACHEL BALDWIN during her life or widowhood and at her death or marriage I give all my Land to my son Joseph Baldwin to him and his heirs forever. And my personal Estate I give to be divided between my sons JOHN BALDWIN after deducting Twenty pounds which I have before given him my Grandson BENJAMIN BALDWIN, MARTHA ANN BALDWIN heirs of WILLIAM BALDWIN dec'd, they two to be considered as one share after deducting Forty pounds. My son GEORGE W. BALDWIN after deducting Thirty pounds, my son Lewis Baldwin after deducting Ten pounds, my son Joseph Baldwin and my daughters SALLY W. WINGO, NANCY BALDWIN and POLLY WILLIAMS
and Lastly I do appoint my friend Thompson Scott and my son Joseph Baldwin Executors of this my Last Will and Testament. In witness where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty seventy day of January 1812. Presented March Court 1817, Amelia County, VA
