According to The Baldwin genealogy from 1500 to 1881, James Baldwin, son of Samuel, grandson of John, was born in Newark, New Jersey on March 6, 1703/4. He m. Deborah Porter, dau. of Daniel Porter of Waterbury, CT. He settled at Judd's Meadow, in Waterbury, in 1727. He lived at Fulling Brook Mill and in 1740 he had a Grist Mill. He was a soldier in the French and Indian War, and Deputy in 1747 and 1748. He died in Derby, CT, owning property in each place.[1]
James BALDWIN was born calculated 1703. He died 27 Aug 1760 in Derby, New Haven, CT and was buried in Derby Colonial Cemetery, Derby, New Haven, CT. James married Deborah PORTER on 21 Feb 1727 in Waterbury, New Haven, CT.
