Biography

Mary Maria was born in 1865 in Leeds County, Canada West, four years before birth registration began. She was the daughter of Sherman Baldwin and Lois Brooks.

She married Elisha Frankum in 1879^[1]. Their marriage record reads:

Elisha Frankum, 24, residing in Macaulay, born in England, bachelor, farmer, son of Moses Frankum and Elizabeth Frankum, married

Mary Maria Baldwin, 15, residing in Macaulay, born in Leeds County, Ontario, spinster, daughter of Sherman Baldwin and Lois Baldwin,

On December 3, 1879, in Macaulay Township, Muskoka District, Ontario.

Together they had the following children:

1. Ira, born February 19, 1884, died March 28, 1955 in Chilliwack, British Columbia
2. James Rankin, born about July 25, 1887, died April 9, 1888, aged 8 months 12 days
3. Hazel Pearl, born about August 3, 1889, married Calvin Weidmark

It is unknown when she died. No records found after 1901.
