In Memory of Private Eli Ball 8th Bn., Devonshire Regiment who died aged 26 on Saturday, 25th September 1915 Private Ball was the son of William John Ball of 2, Brooke Cottage, Kingsbridge. His brother Walter also fell. Remembered with honour. LOOS MEMORIAL, Pas de Calais, France In the perpetual care of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission [5]

23 September 2014: His name was read out on the 'Roll of Honour' for 'The Tower Remembers'.

A long list of names was read out, including (at about 15 minutes)

Then came the verse from the poem by Laurence Binyon 'For the Fallen':
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:

We will remember them.
