Biography

Edith was born 25 Sep 1900 in Reach Township, Ontario, Canada to Ball-1469|William Ezra Ball and [James-2166 Hannah Melinda James. She married Melvin Alsop on 15 Jan 1930. They had a family. She died 11 Mar 1986.

Rae Ball and Edith are 1st cousins, once removed
Edith Ball married Mel Alsop.
Isaac Ball, Edith's brother, married Annie Alsop, Mel's sister
Mel and Annies nephews, Don, George and Bill Alsop were all residents of Pelham Twsp.
Hugh Alsop, brother of Mel and Annie, is the father of Don, George and Bill.
Hugh was on the Pelham District school Board when I (Rae Ball) was hired in 1954.
Bill owned the bus line that transported students to school.
Don was in real estate, and sold us our first house.
