Judith Ball was born in 1718 in Lancaster County, Colony of Virginia, daughter of Samuel Henry Ball (1686–<1751) and Ann Catherine Taylor (~1688–>1751).

Judith married John Hackley (born about 1713 in Essex County, Virginia; son of James Hackley and Elizabeth (Shippey) Hackley) in Lancaster Co., VA.[1] Their children were:

In 1763, Judith, as executrix of her deceased husband's estate, resided in Culpeper County, but sold some of her inherited property in King George County. The deed mentions her sons James, Samuel and John.[2]

Judith died in 1772 in Culpeper County, Colony of Virginia, aged 53.
