  • 1744 - Received 400 lbs. tobacco for keeping John Hogan.
  • 1756 - Sold George Chewning an estate he had bought from William Ball, gentleman.
  • 1760 - Appointed to procession the land.
  • Frequently a Church Warden
  • For many years a Delegate and in 1788 Member Virginia Convention.

  • Vestryman of St. Stevens Parish, Northumberland County, VA. Elected Oct 1744. Took the Oath 12 Nov 1744
  • Elected Church Warden 1745 when his father was in the vestry
  • Frequently a Church Warden
  • 1755 - Burgess for Lancaster County, VA, and then resigned the same year to become the Sheriff.

Burial

Buried at St. Mary's Whitechapel Episcopal Churchyard, Lancaster, VA. Inscription: "2nd son of James and Mary Ball, his second wife, daughter of Edwin Conway."
