Hannah Ball was born anytime between about 1674-1685; because the exact year of her first marriage is not yet known (only that she was married by the 1711 will of her father), this range is an estimate. She was also probably born in Lancaster county, Virginia, though exactly where is also not known.
Hannah was married first to Raleigh Travers and second to Simon Pearson.
Since her will does not name any of the children of Simon Pearson, it is now believed that she was not their mother even though there are several well-known sources to the contrary. Please see "The William and Mary College Quarterly Historical Magazine," Volume 10, No. 1 (July, 1901), P. 65 [2]:
"Simon Pearson, who married twice, and had issue by his first wife the following children, named in his will, dated December 7, 1731, and proved November 16, 1733, viz.: (1) Constantia, born about 1714, . . .married Nathaniel Chapman, of Maryland. . .(2) Susanna. . .(3) Thomas. . .(4) Margaret. . .The second wife of Simon Pearson, Hannah Pearson, survived him. She was the daughter of Joseph Ball, who married in 1696 Raleigh Travers. Her will, proved in Stafford county 1748, names her three children, Raleigh Travers, Eliza Cooke and Sarah Daniel. . ."
She died 12 NOV 1748 in Stafford, Virginia as recorded in the Overwharton Parish Register.[1]
Her will was proven December 13, 1748, naming grandson Travers Cooke, grand-daughter Hannah Cooke, grand-daughter Hannah Daniel, grand-daughter Elizabeth Travers Daniel, daughters Elizabeth Cooke & Sarah Daniel.[2]

Hopefully. this taken from "The William and Mary College Quarterly Historical Magazine," Vol. 10, No. 1 (July, 1901), P. 65 will help in solving the quandary:
> "Simon Pearson, who married twice, and had issue by his first wife the following children, named in his will, dated December 7, 1731, and proved November 16, 1733, viz.: (1) Constantia, born about 1714, . . .married Nathaniel Chapman, of Maryland. . .(2) Susanna. . .(3) Thomas. . .(4) Margaret. . .The second wife of Simon Pearson, Hannah Pearson, survived him. According to that, Hannah Ball was not the mother of Simon Pearson's children. That, of course, does not agree with several other sources. So now, we need to discover the name of Simon Pearson's first wife. Some think that her maiden name was Alexander.

As named in her will, shouldn't Elizabeth Travers Cooke be added as a daughter??

I'm struck by the absence from her will of the supposed Pearson children associated with her. What sources do we have that support she had children with her second husband?
I took a look and saw nothing to indicate that Hannah was the mother of any of his children. Two of the daughters were under 18 at the time of the 1731 will but we don't have an exact date of Hannahh's marriage to Pearson. That she named neither Susannah nor Margaret nor West nor Alexander grandchildren in her will suggests that she was not their mother.
Ball-16666 and Ball-684 appear to represent the same person because: No idea why these were set to Unmerged match. They clearly represent the same person. Please approve this merge. Thank you.
There are two Rawleigh Travers that have been confused....father and son. The father, who is attached here married Elizabeth Stevens, see his profile. HIs son, Rawleigh is the person that married Hannah per "Married Well and Often: Marriages of the Northern Neck of Virginia, 1649-1800". The Travers children listed were the children of Rawleigh and Elizabeth.
The birth dates are estimates. The parents are the same (and need merging, too). The death years are the same. And if we allowed lack of sources to prevent merges, we'd never complete any merge. I'm seeing more evidence for the merge than against it. What else can we do to make you more confident about this merge, Mary?
