Biography

Moses was born about 1788 in Virginia. By 1820 he had moved to Kentucky, where he married Elizabeth Maynard/Mainor/Manor. They lived in Pike, Kentucky and had many children.

The 1850 US Census lists his occupation as School Teacher. By 1860 he took up farming.

He passed away about 1866. His will's probate date is listed as 24 Jun 1866. The will was proved on November 27, 1866, as recorded by clerk of court Hibbard Williams.

The death certificate of their son, Andrew, lists parents Moses D. Ball and Elizabeth Maynard.
