Biography

[1] Eliza was born 1843, Northern Ireland, Eliza Ballantyne. She passed away 30 January, 1938 in Aurelius, New York, at the home of her son Walter.[2]

Enumeration

1865 census of Fleming, New York - John, age 20 born in England & Eliza age 19, born in Ireland. Their first child George, age 5 months born there in Cayuga county. The Census shows John living adjacent to his widowed mother. He's likely farming his fathers land. [3]

1870 census of Larrabee Wisconsin - By 1870 Eliza and John have moved in with John's brother Mark and his family in Larrabee. They now have 3 children: George 6 ;Martha age 4; Wilson age 2. [4]

1880 census of Aurelius, New York - By 1873 Eliza and family have moved back to Cayuga county New York. As record in the this census, all their children being born in New York. [5]
