William Glover BISHOP, Sr. – Fifth child and son of Henry and Mary (GLOVER) BISHOP; b. 1738 in Lincolnton, Mecklenburg, North Carolina; d. 10 August 1823 at Standing Stone Creek, Spartanburg, South Carolina; m. 1769 in North Carolina to Sarah Burnett BALLENGER – b. 1752 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg, South Carolina; d. 21 September 1826 at Standing Stone Creek, Spartanburg, South Carolina. William and Sarah had 8 children.[1]
