John Franklin Ballinger was born July 8, 1834 in Jacksonville, Illinois. He is the son of Landon Ballinger and Elizabeth New. John (1) married Martha Grimes Sept 02, 1857 in Mahaska Co., Iowa. John's (2) marriage was to Mary Elizabeth Price Lundy May 26, 1917 in Ottumwa, Wapello Co., Iowa. John F. Ballinger passed away June 03, 1920 and buried at Forest Cemetery, Oskaloosa, Mahaska Co., Iowa.
