Jemima Bancroft, born 30 May 1781 @ Torrington, Connecticut, was a daughter of Ephraim Bancroft and Jemima Loomis.

She married in 1805 @ Torrington, Connecticut, David Grant. Their 10 children were (except for the first) born at Smithville Flats, New York, where they relocated in 1808:
